Our New House

So I know this post is long overdue, but we moved into our new house! Here are some pictures of how things have turned out. It is not completely done, but we are getting so close. We moved in on a very cold day, but we had tons of help from our wonderful family and friends. I seriously cannot thank them enough for helping my lovely husband when I couldn't! So onto the pictures...

This is a picture of our entry way.

The next three pictures are of the study. This is one of the rooms I most interested in seeing how it all turned out. I am so happy with the finished product, I think it looks amazing!

This next picture is Uncle PJ's room. It will be the new baby's room so once we find out if it is a boy or a girl I can start planning the nursery. I can't wait!

The next two pictures are Kendyl's room. Can you tell she likes Princesses? We had to go all out so we could break her of the habit of sleeping with us. Five months of living with Grandma Jackie and climbing in our bed every night was enough! And I must say the plan worked out wonderfully. She has stayed in her room every night!

Next we have Kendyl's bathroom. I must say I really like this room too. I am thinking about becoming artsy and getting a canvas to paint the circles on and hang in there. I am not sure if I would be able to pull it off, but I am pretty sure it wouldn't cost much so it might be worth the effort.

The next three pictures are of our room. I just can't get over how much more space we have than our old house. We had all this furniture crammed into a tiny bedroom before and we barely had room to walk. Now you would have to really try to run into something!

The next two pictures are our bathroom. You can see the size, but this room is not done. It will eventually be red. My poor husband's hands were so tired of painting after all the other rooms so I am giving him so time to finish. I did tell him that I would like my bathroom painted before we start any landscaping projects this spring!

Next we have our kitchen. I think this might be the room that we like the most. I love all the space and C loves the colors. I was worried that it wouldn't all look good together but it does and we love it!

The last room is the living room. I really like the colors we ended up picking. I have to admit the hubs wasn't sure about the blue wall and he really needed some convincing, but now that it is all put together I think he his finally a fan!

So there it is. We love it. We had Kendyl's 3rd birthday party here and it was so much less crowded than her first birthday. The floor plan is so open and it is exactly what we were looking for.

Way Overdue!

So I am way late on this but here goes my Christmas post. So our first Christmas was with my dad's family. It was the Sunday before Christmas out at my grandparents farm. This also happened to be the day after we moved into the new house.

We had a great time with everyone and Kendyl had so much fun opening presents. My dad and stepmom got her the potty baby she has been eyeing at Target. Her reaction to this present was priceless and way outdid every other reaction.

The next Christmas was on Christmas Eve. We went to my brother's to exchange gifts between our kids and from my mom. Kendyl got a set of twin babies that talk to each other. I think her daddy was more impressed than she was :-)! She also got some Littlest Pet Shop stuff from my sister and some princess and dress up stuff from my brother.

Next, we all headed over to my aunt's house to spend some time with the rest of my mom's family. We changed things up a little and played rob your neighbor and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. It was nice to have the everyone there for the first time in a long time. Kendyl also got a gift from my Grandma, a Tinkerbell dress up outfit!

Christmas morning was fun. We woke Kendyl up so she could open her presents from Santa before we headed to C's mom's house. She got a Barbie Jeep and some other fun stuff. I think the funniest reaction we got that morning was when she open the Tinkerbell movie. She looked at it and said, "Finally!" Like she had been waiting her whole life for that movie. She immediately got up and ran to put it on the shelf with the rest of her movies. The whole thing was so cute. I have a video, but I can't seem to get it to upload anywhere. :(

After we opened Santa presents we headed out for the day. Of course there were more presents and lots of food and just an overall relaxing day. Kendyl had so much fun that she didn't want to leave and ended up spending the night!

The Saturday after Christmas we went to C's dad's house. We got more presents and more time with family, but I think we were just about Christmased out.
Overall 2008 was great for all of us and we really enjoyed the entire holiday season.

Long Time

OK, so I know there is nobody really reading this, but I feel horrible that I haven't posted anything in so long. So much has happened since my last post. We moved into the new house, Christmas came and went (all four of them!), New Years came and went, my lovely husband reached a milestone he would rather not discuss, Kendyl's birthday came and went, and still no post. I promise I will try to put something up soon.

And maybe, just maybe I will actually start telling people this blog exists.

Well, its probably a little too soon for that!

So a little note to hold you over, we are almost out of the first trimester!

Later.
