About My Husband

Here is a fun little questionnaire about my husband. I am sure he will not be happy I put this up here since he doesn't even want his name mentioned on here, but since I am the one who writes I get to choose what I write! I love it when I get to make up my own rules...

What are your middle names?
My middle name is Christine. His middle name is Dean.

How long have you been together?
We've been married almost two years, together four and a half.

How long did you know each other before you started dating?
I guess we first met in April or May and had our first date in August.

Who asked whom out?

That would be me. He was a little shy!

How old are each of you?
I'm 29, he's 30. Another thing he does not like to talk about.

Whose siblings do you see the most?
I guess that would be his, but only because his sister baby sits Kendyl. If you were going for hanging out for any length of time it would be mine.

Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
Money. We are generally on the same page, but we have different ideas on how to get there. It has gotten a lot better but it was U.G.L.Y. for a while.

Did you go to the same school?
No, I went to Maryville University and he went to UMSL.

Are you from the same home town?
No, he is from Ferguson and I am a St. Charles girl.

Who is smarter?
I would say me, but not because I know more. I am somewhat of a sponge and didn't ever have to try very hard at school. He did well in school, but he had to work a lot harder.

Who is the most sensitive?
It depends on the subject. We each have our own sensitive spots

Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Right now I would say Qdoba because he prefers fast food and it is really the only one I want to eat at, but over the course of our relationship it is probably more like Applebees.

Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
California. We have been to San Diego a couple of times and San Francisco. I am not sure which is further

Who has the craziest exes?
Probably me, but its not like either of us has any psychos in our past or anything.

Who has the worst temper?
That would be him. I tend to have more patience, which still isn't a lot. He also suffers from OCD which tends to make him get all worked up over little things and that can trigger a temper issue.

Who does the cooking?
That would be me and it is a challenge sometimes. He is very picky, so much so that our 3 year old is less picky than he is. But, in his defense, he is getting better and he does a really good job of trying new things. Mostly this is because I have assured him I will only cook things I think he will like, and he trusts me.

Who is the neat-freak?
Mr. OCD would be the neat freak in our family. But he is also the messy one if that makes any sense. I figured out early on in my living alone time that if I didn't pick something up no one would. And since I despise cleaning I made a point to always put things back where they belong. He does not share this trait and my theory is its because he knows he is going to clean everything anyway so why bother. Even when he is messy it does not sit long, that's for sure.

Who is more stubborn?
We are both extremely stubborn and so is Kendyl. So much so that in her ultrasound to find out if she was a he or a she they used a buzzer to try to get her to move so they could see her parts. Not only did she not move, but she covered her ears. That's my girl!

Who hogs the bed?
My other half is definitely the bed hogger. He claims it is my fault because I introduced him to cuddling, but I think his cuddling is really smothering. Maybe this has something to do with being pregnant.

Who wakes up earlier?
I am the first one up in the morning, but surely not by choice. He gets up right after me to get Kendyl ready. I have to get up first because I leave first, and that is the only reason. Trust me.

Where was your first date?
Lake of the Ozarks. I was camping with friends and he drove down on Saturday with one of his friends and we played volleyball all day.

Who is more jealous?
Neither one of us really have a jealousy issue. Sometimes we will get jealous of the other one if it seems they are getting to do more fun stuff, but that rarely happens.

How long did it take to get serious?
About a week. He was living with an ex girlfriend and I wasn't having that so I told him he could just sleep at my house. Pretty soon he was moving his clothes over and he had everything moved out of there within 5 months.

Who eats more?
He does. From the time he comes home until the time he goes to bed he is eating. I am not sure where it all goes and how he does not get sick.

Who does the laundry?
He does it for the most part. We try to split it up by him doing the washing and me doing the folding, but I think he still ends up doing more.

Who's better with the computer?
We are about equal. We are each stronger in different areas, but overall our knowledge is equal.

Who drives when you are together?
I do. He is not a very good driver and has a history of running into inanimate objects.

So there you go. If there is anyone actually reading this you can answer these questions too. Its kind of fun.

Valentine's Day!

We had a fun weekend for Valentine's Day. It started Friday night with a trivia night for my neices (and now Kendyl's) dance school. We had a lot of fun. We didn't win, or even come close to winning, but we laughed a lot and that is always a good night in my book.

Saturday started way too early if you ask me. Kendyl had ballet class, which she absolutely loves! Once she finished dancing we came home and mommy took a nap before we all headed out to dinner with one of my friends and her son. We went to Lotawota Creek and it was really good. It was so good that I won't even complain about the hour drive there and hour and a half wait for a table. I can't really complain anyway because I knew it was far and we went on Valentine's Day (which we really should have rethought). But it was so good. We sat down and immediately ordered appetizers. I ordered a pregnant woman's dream...fried pickles! Kendyl and I loved them.

After dinner we all crammed back in the car a little uncomfortable from all the food, but happy our bellies were full. We headed back to our house and hung out for a while watching TV until our guests left. We stayed up a little later and called it an early night. My lovely husband handed me a folded up page of the Best Buy ad and told me we could go shopping on Sunday. The ad was a picture of a new iPod. I was pretty happy because I have been really wanting a new one.

Sunday we hung out around the house for way too long, but it sure did feel nice. We headed to WalMart that afternoon for some grocery shopping and to pick out my new iPod. On the way in my better, more observant half told me they had Wii Fits. When I asked him how he new he pointed to the guy who had just walked out the door carrying one. So I skipped the new iPod and got the Wii Fit.

Once we got home I busted it out so I could immediately start hula hooping. We had the grandmas over that night and we all enjoyed the Wii Fit. I made Rotel Chicken for dinner and we had some Double Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake for dessert, it was leftover from trivia night. It was a good night.

When I got up this morning I could barely move my legs. It seems I may have hula hooped a little too much, but it was sure worth it for all the laughs!
